Get a Library Card

The State Library encourages Iowans to use their local public library as their "home" library.

If you would like a library card from the State Library, complete the online Borrow Registration Form and click Submit.  With your State Library library card you can check out materials when you visit the State Library and use your library card number to access online databases such as EBSCOhost.  For other services such as interlibrary loan, you will need to go through your local public library.

The State Library serves as the corporate library for state government. If you are a state employee, click here for more information.
