St. Ambrose University Library invites applications for a full-time 12-month Visiting Reference & Instruction Librarian with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2021. Primary responsibilities: teaching sections of a required 1-credit-hour Information Literacy course in face-to-face and/or online learning environments, acting as liaison with academic departments, and providing reference service including one evening and a rotational weekend.
Requirements: ALA-accredited MLS/MLIS degree completed prior to start date; demonstrated effectiveness in teaching; commitment to a high level of service that fosters inclusion; ability to thrive in a workplace that values flexibility, creative problem-solving, collaboration, and a sense of humor. Preferred qualifications: prior teaching experience; familiarity with ExLibris Alma/Primo discovery system.
